Q is for Quincunx
This will be a short entry, because I have too many other things to do, but I loved the word quincunx when I saw it on the word list and I knew I'd have to write about it. It sounds vaguely dirty, doesn't it? But you already know what a quincunx is, I guarantee.
Imagine a regular six-sided die or a domino. You know what the five looks like? That's a quincunx. Such an elegant word for an elegant arrangement. I think it may be my new favorite word.
This has been an entry for AlphaBytes. I'm working my way through the alphabet backwards just because I can.
