10:12 p.m. - 17 March 2004 We had corned beef, scallion champ, and sauteed cabbage for supper tonight; very traditional Irish food without being the yucky overly boiled cabbage stuff. Which is, of course, what the hospital served for lunch. I had ravioli and fried okra instead. And my piece of green cake served by administration, which wasn't very good, but it was free and baby wanted it, so I ate it. He's kicking like hell right at the moment; late evening is his favorite play time. It's amazing to watch him moving around, although Lee tends to just reach over and jiggle him which of course just makes him stop. He's getting more affectionate, so I'm starting to feel better about what he'll be like once the baby arrives. We're mostly ready, I think, except for clothes. We've got all the big stuff: crib, changing table, chest of drawers, glider, car seat, etc. Mom and Dad have a stroller that they're holding onto until he arrives, since my niece is still using it occasionally. I still need to get a sling, make a final decision about cloth diapers, and oh, yeah, find a daycare. Sigh.
