Boston
I went away for a little while, but now I'm back. Mostly.
We painted the master bedroom tonight. White, unfortunately, but that's what came with the house. It was a little iffy at first, but once we got into the groove of Lee painting the edges and me doing the rolling, it went pretty quickly.
There's actually very little stuff still here at the apartment. The sad thing is that the house still looks empty, too. We're going to have three rooms that will have very little furniture in them to start with, but I'm sure eventually we'll fill the house. We're just a little poor right now. Okay, a lot poor.
Actually, part of the reason I didn't update last week is because I was in Boston with Lee while he went to some training classes. Actually, he was gone all of last week; I came home on Tuesday. After getting up at 6am to catch the shuttle to the airport, no less.
We had a really good time. We played tourists on Saturday and went to the USS Constitution and to the Museum of Science (because deep down, we are geeks through and through. Did I mention we went to the Smithsonian for our honeymoon?).
Monday I met up with someone from the Urban Legend Message Board and went on a whale watch. It was fantastic -- there were easily ten or so Minke whales surfacing, and a humpback whale that fluked six or seven times during the hour that we were out there. Unfortunately, because I am a stupid, stupid person, I forgot to put sunscreen on before I left. It's been a week and I'm still peeling.
Short one tonight, but probably more later. Right now, there's a shower with my name on it.
