Watching and waiting
Isabel has now made enough of a turn northwards that most of the predictions have her aimed right at us. You see that little notch in the NC coast just south of VA? Yeah, that's where we live.
Lowe's here in town has already sold out of 3/4" plywood; we bought 10 sheets and assuming things don't change, will probably put it up Tuesday night. We've made lists of the things we'd like to save, and they will be traveling with me to my sister's place in Winston-Salem. Lee is considered "essential personnel" by the hospital, so he will most likely be hunkered down there.
Please send good thoughts this way; I've been through major storms before (both Hugo and Floyd, although I didn't really live close enough to have any direct effects either time) and this one looks bad.
